clothing advice - please!
by MrsTazPublished Jul. 16, 2008
My 30th high school reunion is this weekend (geesh, I'm old), and I got an e-mail reminding me that dress is "Hawaiian casual". Since I have no idea what in the hail that means, nor am I going to wear a grass skirt and coconut shell bra, I am need of some guidance.
I've got a long flowy floral dress, a long floral sundress, a short floral dress (notice a theme?) - or should I just wear a pair of linen shorts and a blouse or polo?
I'm not dressing to impress (ok - maybe I am a little) but I don't want to stick out like a sore thumb. Any help will be appreciated!

It is indoors, but on the water. Based on the advice to wear what I feel best in, I'm leaning towards the short dress because a) it goes best with the adorable white patent leather flip flops I just bought and b) my legs look better now than they did when I was 18 (all those years of wearing heels paid off).

wear the dress that looks the best on you-you dont want to look cheezy or look like youre actully going to the beach. i like the flower in your hair idea, too. i would wear some dressed up flip flops with a wedge heel or some flat sandals that are metallic or a color that matches your dress. hair down. straw bag.
