So why should this child rapist and killer be allowed to live?
CHICAGO — A 9-year-old girl was found stabbed to death early Tuesday in a Chicago alley.
The Cook County, Ill., medical examiner identified the girl found by her father as Mya Lyons. MyFOX Chicago reported that she had been sexually assaulted.
"We're in mourning right now," Orlando Barnes, the girl's grandfather, told MyFOX Chicago. "We just want to ask that the person or persons that did this heinous crime, 'Come forward and turn yourself in.'"
Mya's father found her unresponsive in the South Side alley early Tuesday morning and took her to Jackson Park Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police had initially said she was 8, but Barnes told MyFOX Chicago that she was 9.
The medical examiner's office is performing an autopsy Tuesday.
The death is under investigation, police said.

So I don't think it was just "assumed" they had been raped. The medical examiner had already made that determination.
Either way, it is horrible..... just absolutely horrible and tragicly sad
