very frustrating
Published Jul. 14, 2008Why is it when we give a business the information they need, they still screw it up? I called verizon and discussed w/them the issue I was having with my brand new cell phone. While the tv indicated the people in the network would be there for me, they were not! ha! No signal. So, no big deal. Possibly the phone was defective and they will just send me a new one. I tell the gentleman on the phone THREE TIMES ship to my work address AND I gave him and had him verify the address to me. So, where do you think this is going?? Yes, that's right, my home!! I will not be able to sign for it, which is why it is supposed to be coming here to start with and when I called them to fix it, they could not.
I figured once it was shipped it was too late but its just very frustrating to give someone specific direction and still have them flub it up! ACK!!!
Ok, vent over. :-)

A thought for all of you (and not being ugly, because it has actually come to me before when considering "what-ifs")...
IF you EVER find yourself unable to do the job you do now, then remember that there is more than likely a CS job that you can get - and perform as well as the person in the cubicle next to you!
I think that breathing is the only job requirement for some of these people and companies.

I've had mine dropped at the door and it is there when I get home. If you think you are going to not be able to use your home for such, when you sign up make work your billing address. No matter what a CSrep says, sometimes the phone is going to the billing address come what may for obvious reasons.
I have phones with Nextel/Sprint, Alltel, and AT&T (formerly Cingular). I've gotten good service with all, except for a period when Sprint took over Nextel, but after a few months, it has been fine. I still can't decipher Nextel bills. With Nextel, be sure to have the repair insurance.
AT&T (cingular) I've had since the 90s, am pleased with original plan, with free incoming, less than $45 a month. I started off with the world phone, great, under you go under water with it, and now use the 90s Nokia. I've never text messaged in my life. I send them on the commuter
