camp anaconda
Published Jul. 14, 2008Hubby had to see a medic at drill this weekend to have a tick removed. He asked the Medic how he would get his prescription for his Restless Leg Syndrome filled during their deployment (which will be to Camp Anaconda in Baghdad). Turns out his medication (Requip) is fairly new and the medic felt it would not be available. He suggestion getting it filled right before leaving, then having me ship it to him. WTF. He has a written prescription for a medical reason, and he will not have access to his meds directly while deployed? It is not a huge deal, but you would think we could provide our soldiers with needed prescription meds. What a load of CARP..

As for sleep aids, I don't recall my post saying people didn't need a pill to get to sleep, I said ADD, RLS and the such are dreamt up phantasms and that's my OPINION. you don't like it, fine, I don't really care what you think.

Sounds like you don't know what you're talking about. Sleep aids have been around for a long time.

Nonsense! Many of my family members suffered with nocturia/insomnia for generations. It led them into deep depressions for which they only received the opinion "Cheer Up."
Those were the dark ages, my friend, and I am heartily grateful that I have meds to help me through both of those things now.
So unless the shoes are on your feet, think carefully before sharing cause the truth is - YOU REALLY DON'T KNOW ENOUGH AND I PRAY YOU NEVER DO!
God bless.
