tired of being "over the barrel"
Published Jul. 9, 2008Yesterday, crude prices dropped 5-6 bucks so the stock market did well. Today we have news of Iran test firing missiles creating worries over interuption of oil supplies so the market tanks. Yet we still have liberals not wanting to drill. "We can't drill our way out of this", I mean, what the hell does that mean. It means more of the same, NO solutions from dems, just slogans. I say let the drilling begin. It is the best "short term" solution. Meanwhile, lets kick in high gear the R and D on alternatives. I long for the day when we can collectively extend our middle finger to those America hating freaks from the east.

Not really. Right now our refining capacity is at max, but it's meeting demand. The problem is the cost of oil, which would be reduced by an increase in supply. Drilling, frankly, is far, far more likely to led to near term results than anything else I've seen. How long will it take to develop McCain's "Miracle Battery"? WHo the hell knows. Or Obama's . . . . well, okay, in all fairness he hasn't proposed ANY solution so I can't pick on him.
But you get the point.

(God, I wish I was kidding. But no, that really IS their plan.)
