I read this story in the N&O and it said that the club was greatly dependent on customers from other counties and with the cost of gas now, they just weren't coming.
I remember, as will some other the other old pharts here, when the club was "The Embers Club". That was a nice, classy place.
I haven't been to the LB for at least a decade, but it's still a shame to see it go. Thanks OPEC!
