I'm making veggies and lamb sausage for dinner.  I'm not sure how long I have to leave everything baking (at 400) to make sure the sausage is thuroughly cooked. 

Any ideas?

400 is hot, these are good suggestions...35 minutes, but it really depends on the bulk of the piece of meat. Take it out of the fridge 20-30 minutes early, so you don't put it in the oven cold. Otherwise, you wasted the first 6-8 minutes, and just heated up your house more.

i would say 30/40 minutes max.....try searing it in a pan to seal in juices prior to finishing in the oven

I would use a meat thermometer and follow the pork guidelines. You don't want to undercook or overcook it.

I usually leave it in for about 40 min. Hopefully that is enough.

with baking pork sausage, at 400, it would take at least 35 minutes, not sure how different the lamb is from pork, though?!?
