am i the only one here who sees this???
Published Jul. 8, 2008first off, I must say i have friends with handicaps. One close personal friend is paralyzed from the wasite down.
I just returned from lunch at The boston market (by the way was excellent). Going to lunch here is not only very conveinent for me, but i go early to beat the rush crowd so i am able to park very close to the front door with little or no problem. So i parked 3 spots from the front door with no problem today. While walking to the door, i was almost ran over by a person in a vehicle, that was carrying one of these tags in their car. They, of course, parked in the handicapped spot. Now i looked when i exited my vehicle and this person was speeding in the parking lot as to why they almost hit me.
what really got me kinda stirred was not that this person was driving like a bat outta hades, but when they exited their car. They not only looked at me like i was the dum one here, but seemed to have no problem getting around. They even walked better than i did. They had no wheel chair, no limp, nothing that i could see fesible to the eye that would constitute them as handicapped. I saw nothing in any way in their behavior(physically) which would constitute her from even owning this "right".So my question is to my fellow golo'ers...
Can somebody get this kinda sticker for thier vehicle if they are mental ? or am i missing a bigger picture here.

They offered one to my grandmother, because she's almost 83 and has to walk with a cane.
She turned it down (vanity). My mom was annoyed because she is the one who drives my grandma everywhere and SHE wanted one so she could park wherever she liked.
My mother totally embarrasses me sometimes. *hangs head in shame*
The shopping cart thing would enrage me if I had a bad temper. LOL
As it is, it just make me think 'jerks!' whenever I see it.
I think there are legitimate excuses for leaving a cart, but they always involve heavy lightning storms that come out of nowhere, and gangsters waving guns in parking lot (exaggerations, but you all get my drift, I trust).
I make my kids walk with me to put up the cart unless it isn't far and I can either a) let them wait for a sec in the cart or b) have my 18yo do it

1. I do not like him standing outside of the car while I load groceries. I then have to worry about where he is at, and what the other idiots are doing (when I can, I park close enough to return it with him in the car).
2. People drive like idiots, with no awareness of adults, let alone kids.
3. I refuse to put get him in the car, then out of the car, because they refuse to put corrals in the back of thier lots.
