my thoughts on ghost and spirits
Published Jul. 8, 2008
I am watching the View, (when I should be working), but they have James Van Praagh on and he says spirits speak to him. That of course got me to thinking about several things, but mainly my personal beliefs.
I will share an experience I had when my son died, and then explain why I believe what I do.
When CJ died, of course I was lost, angry, hurt, and distraught. I joined an online grief support group with others that had lost a child to an accident. I lived on this website for awhile, shutting out my home life as they didn’t understand the agony I was going through.
During some of these chats, I would notice several people would express their desire to get in touch with their loved one again. Of course I was intrigued, who wouldn’t be. One day a lady put up a website we could go to and find out more information.
First, let me explain for those that don’t know, when you lose a love one or a child, you will be amazed at the thoughts that cross your mind. Things you would never consider doing if you were not in such unthinkable agony.
I am a Christian, how I came to be had to do with the world I dappled in before becoming a Christian. Without going into great detail about my spiritual history before becoming a Christian I will just say, I dabbled in the occult.
So being familiar with some of these things, I was considering checking out this website, because I was desperate. What I say next is true; on the word of my Lord and Savior Jesus this is true.
I went to this website and begin reading the introduction explaining about the website and what they do and what was required. There was a button to click if you wanted to continue. I stared at it for awhile and finally I clicked the button to enter. My computer shut down, just turned completely off. OK…I think, what the flip, I turn my computer back on and go back to the website and click to enter again, the computer shut off again. I’m thinking what, is there a bug or virus on this website? Because by now I am determined to get into this website I boot the computer up again and go back to the website, just as I’m about to hit the enter key again, I stop…. I hear a voice as clear as someone sitting next to me speaking…(I am not exaggerating here people, on the love of my sons memory this is the truth…even if hard to believe), Colette, do you really want to open this door? Yes, I reply verbally, I do, I want so much just to talk to CJ just one more time, to just hold him one more time. Colette you know what you have been delivered from, you know what opening doors will do. Yeah, I know I replied, but CJ…..I just want to hold him one more time, just once I promise. Colette, think really clear on this, will the CJ you will talk to really be your CJ? Will it be CJ, Colette? I don’t know…I mean I want it to be CJ. Colette will this be CJ who is now in the presence of Jesus Christ or will it be a familiar spirit. He looks like CJ, smell like CJ, feel like CJ, but will it be CJ, honey. Are you willing to trade your salvation by opening this door again for a moment with this familiar spirit or will you wait until you can be with him again in eternity? You know all about opening doors Colette, are you willing to open this door?
After, much thought, and a moment of clarity, I backed away from that website and made a decision in my heart to accept that for now CJ is gone, but I will see him again for real not a familiar spirit.
I knew from previous experience that Satan was an illusionist, that he can make our deepest desires seem so real, but that when you reach out for the substance it just dissolves away. In my weakest moment I believe I was attacked and almost succumbed to this illusion. Thank God, I had my foundation and the Holy Spirit to guide me through.
So, this is my story and theory on ghost and spirits, Yes, I believe they do exist. I also believe they are what we (of the Christian faith) call familiar spirits.

But could you speak with the soul of your dead child. Certainly! But to do so, you'd have to drag a part of him (his souul) back from heaven, and what TRULY loving parent would want to do that???
Do you see?
God bless.

So do I believe the souls of departed loved ones can speak to us, or in fact to anyone then? I don't know how it's done or how they do it, but I've heard it, so I must believe it. But to be certain of its devices, I test the spirit as The Bible encourages by asking them the name of their Lord and Savior. If they cannot say Christ or Jesus, I avoid listening to that particular still small voice.
One thing that churches never teach right is that the adversarial spirit, the negative one–call it what you like, isn’t just about seeing that we have a bad day; he wants us dead. Why? Because then we are silenced and unable to lead others into the light of the Creator.

Beer says it's my friend - but I think too much friendship turns to love. Vodka tell me only small sips; Gin tells me only in the company of others will it compliment my tastes; Rum says straight or bi-racial - it's all good.
Red Bull tells me to run away from it. Cause it says it causes heart attacks straight or mixed with anything. And the spirits tell me they agree!

I'm also not surprised that cats are so sensitive to that. Cats act crazy just before a lagre storm also.
