MAN! SERIOUS!? Gin Blossoms are up there like 4 times! My favorite song of ALL time is With or Without You- U2 and it didn't even make it on the chart... My second favorite song of all time is Peter Gabriel-In Your Eyes... and that's not up there either.

Uh? Rolling Stones, Beatles, Led Zeppelin

Sounds like a list of 101.5's best songs ever.

this is indeed a sad list

No Skynyrd, Bad Company, Foreigner, AC/DC, Van Halen..????

But Bette Midler is listed! Funny stuff.

bette midler, richard marx and tori amos made it above ANY Legend rock groups such as Led Zep,The Who,Beatles????????

this is a joke

this is a work. it MUST be the crpa est song of all time. lol

What were they smoking. No Beatles, Stones, Doors, Zepplin. Some of these groups I have never heard of and the song's are lame at best. who put the list together a group of 16-20 year olds. what a joke.

LOL...I know how to stir up GOLO...post a list of top white singers....I don't know where they got this list from

What happened to Engleburt Humperdink, Tom Jones, Tony Orlando and Dawn, Nancy Sinatra, Twiggy, Tiny Tim, and all the other fabulous artists who have graced our ear canals?

Now if you will pardon me, I'm gonna crawl off and barf...

Seriously, who made this list? Are they still alive? Or did someone gracefully put them out of our misery?

does anyone know who "Toad the Wet Sprocket" are?

Yeah, sounds right. Bette Midler is up there a couple of times. Maddona at number one. WOOOOHOOOO!!!! ARE YOU READY TO SOFT ROCK?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! This must be somebody's personal favorites because some of the songs are so obscure even 101.5 doesn't play them. Led Zep rules!!!!!!!!!!!

2 and 15 are cool, but there needs to be some Pink Floyd in there.

What about the Hank Williams Jr. Song "It takes a whole lotta liquor to like her"

They're kinda a SoCal, alternative folk rock band that had some minor hits in the 90s. For those who truly appreciate music, they are what you would play if you were about to intentionally impale yourself on a pungie stick.

take it easy breezy and dont let your meatloaf. hahahaha this list still sx

One word... KRAP!!!

This list is garbage.

i think this list is bogus! There's only a few songs on there that I would consider even remotely good. Most of it is just a bunch of pop fluff! and they're all from the 90s.

Waaaayyyy too much Madonna!!

Hey, have you ever heard of the 60's and 70's? This list is rediculous.

Yeah, this one is a crock. Somebody listens to way too much 'soft rock' to have actually formed a respectable opinion.

yeah that has got to be the worst list i have ever seen.

NO LUTHER?! NO LUTHER?!

Oh come on now, No MJ?...No Elton John? Hon, where did you find this list? How can they have a list of best songs ever and NO LUTHER?!!!

Bette Midler's "From A Distance" beat out Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage"? In WHAT world?

Geez.

i agree chill!

"does anyone know who "Toad the Wet Sprocket" are?"

yes and all I can say about this list is...Richard Marx.

Has to be the, without question, the absolute worst top music list I have ever read in my life....

"According to several sites,"

What sites are these? A Meredith student's room circa 1995?

Looks like the list was compiled from a signup list in a college coffee shop.

Any site that claims to have a list of the best songs "ever" that doesn't include AT LEAST one Glen Miller song is a waste of time. This was clearly compiled by a bunch of pimple faced geeks who graduated college about 8 years ago and are trapped in the 90s - an era which produced music which only BARELY surpasses disco quality.

It depends on the context for me. I love most of the songs listed here. But I also love Metal, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, etc. I also love Jazz, R&B and yes even some Rap. I just love music! You really can't say what songs are the best. You should make these lists based on what is best for the time period and/or genre.

I'm a "Duranie" so watch the cracks about them. They are one of my all-time favorites. Simon was soooo hotttt back in the day! :-)

Gin Blossoms are listed FOUR times but U2 only twice? No Jimmy Hendrix, the Doors, or the Four Seasons? The earliest songs are only 1984? No 1960s, no 1950s, not even the 1970s? Dollars to donuts whoever made this list was born in 1984.

And just to frighten everyone, if you are 24 years old or younger, you'd never known a world without Madonna.

As a musician with varied and reasonable 'tastes', I'd have to say this is a useless listing. It's all over the place and includes some obviously poor choices (musically, lyrically, composition, etc.). I hope you didn't have to type all that junk... :)

HORRIBLE LIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean where the heck is Wang Chung?!?

This list kicks rocks. . .

Leaving off Prince, Whitney Houston, Al Green, or Marvin Gaye, or even Ice Cube should be criminal.

What about the Mothers of Invention? Wowie Zowie!

I guess I will have to put together a list of MY top ever...LOL

Would NOT be my list, not by a long shot! Where is Glenn Miller, Where is Nat King Cole, where are The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Yes, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley -- and I'm just thinking of wonderful wonderful songs as I'm listing these. And they are all missing...

Although I did LOVE several bands listed, Dave Mathews, Counting Crows, Alice in Chains -- but I might have picked different songs.

C'MON!! November Rain should be in the top 10, Hazard?? Didn't Richard Marx dissappear after that came out?
