by At WorkPublished Jul. 2, 2008
I thought you would love this remember the last blog about my mom well heres something she did that was funny (not). My 2 year old cant have crayons because she has the habit of marking on the furniture etc. So we quit giving it to her and mom knows this. Well for what ever reason my husband was cleaning and my little girl was in her room and my mom gave her crayons. So now she has a rainbow on her wall that was just painted and did I mention that we rent our house. I came home last night from working 13 hours and found it. I scrubed and scrubed but it want come off. lol Another wounderful day. When I asked her why did she do it she said ma ma pretty.

Kids will be creative and they are only young once but they need to be taught to channel their creativeness into the appropriate arenas,,my walls and carpets and cabinets are not the appropriate arenas.
Give kids sidewalk chalk and let them have at it outside..give them spray bottles or jars and paintbrushes with plain water, outside, and let them "paint" your house, fence, sidewalk, patio,,,they LOVE this. Pin large pieces of paper to your fence and give them washable paints outside and let them have it. The will love it, then you hose them off and no one is the worse for wear. The idea is to let them be creative with some adult supervision. Children with crayons, etc and no adult is asking for trouble,,could even be a choking hazard

Kids are gonna be kids ... gonna love the creativeness (sp) in them ... I always encourage my oldest god daughther to draw and color ... she got the bathtub crayons .... (bright idea ... not) she ended up using the real crayons on the bathroom walls. But it is just walls ... and you can fix it ... paint it ... clean it what ever. They are only kids once and you have to enjoy those times... time passes so so fast ... toooo tooo fast.
