can a good muslim be a good american?

This is very interesting and you should read it from start to finish and send it on to anyone who will read it. Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not speaking out about any atrocities. Can a good Muslim be a good American? This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply:
Theologically - No - Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon God of Arabia .
Religiously - No - Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)
Scripturally - No - Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran. Geographically - No - Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he turns in prayer five times a day.Socially - No - Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews
Politically - No - Because he must submit to the mullahs spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America , the great Satan. Domestically - No - Because he is instructed to marry four Women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34 ) Intellectually - No - Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt. Philosophically - No - Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran does not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic. Spiritually - No - Because when we declare 'one nation under God, the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names. Perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. - - - They obviously cannot be both 'good' Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish it's still the truth. The more who understand this, the better it will be for ourcountry and our future. The religious war with radical Islam is bigger than we know or understand. And Barack Hussein Obama, a Muslim, wants to be our President?
Obama even says if he wins the election, he will be sworn in on the Quran---not a Bible! Footnote: He was sworn in on the Quran for his current office and he refuses to pledge allegiance to the United States or put his hand over his heart when the National Anthem is played! The Muslims have said they will destroy us from within. Hello! Having a Muslim president would seem to fit the bill! Will you trust this man with our national secrets? ***** This was sent to me and I figured I would post it to solicit opinions concerning the issues that have been raised here ****

Tell me about it... my company got spammed with the Obama fear-mongering email months ago, and every conservative in the office mass-forwarded it and lapped it up like honey, never questioning the source of the information.

Yep...good point. Why did the GOP have to wind up with McCain anyway... I'd almost rather have Romney and his "magic underwear"! ;-)

A spokesperson for the Senator told Fox News that it was ridiculous to suggest that Obama was making any kind of a statement and that sometimes "he does and sometimes he doesn't place his hand over his heart during the National Anthem."
Furthermore, the protocol, according to the United States Flag code, is that civilians should have their right hands over their hearts and that they should be facing the flag.
Obama's choice to not honor the message of the flag concerns me.... he is desiring to be President of the country this flag represents.

Simply and completely NOT true. Obama was sworn in on a Bible as a Senator. There is film. There is film of him saying the pledge. Just this year's Swift Boat. Obama has never been a Muslim. You may dislike his politics... fine, but at least get the facts.

And putting the country in debt by cutting taxes while at the same time waging two costly wars would be a better way? Why do you want us more in debt to China than we already are?

Where do you folks come up with this stuff? Sen Obama has not attacked Sen McCain's military service. He has been unequivocal in his praise and admiration for that service.
You are hearing what you want to hear. If you want to criticize Obama for his positions, criticize him for ones he actually holds - not strawmen his opponents claim he holds. That's just plain dishonest - just like reposting lies that "were sent to (you).

Unfortunately you are wrong about the wanting to be free part. If Americans really wanted to be free the party of choice would be the Libertarian party. The Republican party thinks you should be free to agree with them. The Democrat party thinks they should be free to do what they like with your money.
Its not a free country and hasn't been for a long time.

I'm beginning to think that it's a case of people wanting to be involved in the dialogue, but having little, if anything, of an original or considered nature to contribute, so they resort to copying and pasting (and repasting, and repasting) things like this instead.
