Published Jun. 29, 200814 Year Old Delivers Baby and Kills Him - Now Charged With Murder (Disturbing Content)
"A very sad situation" indeed: Texas - 14 year old 8th grader has been charged as a juvenille for the murder of her son, delivered in the bathroom of Cedar Bayou Junior High back on April 1st. Evidence showed that the infants death was intentional.
Police say she stuffed toilet paper in the infant's throat and flushed him in the toilet. An autopsy confirmed that the baby was alive and cried during the incident.
School officials were notified by another student who was also in the bathroom.
Gerald Yoakum, the girl's attorney defended his client, saying 'she didn't realize that she was giving birth'. Prosecuters will decide on certifying the girl as an adult. She cannot recieve the death penalty due to her age
