BTW, I have changed members' status to editor so you can blog with your own tips. I've seen several good tips in comments.
General Tips:
To treat poison ivy, chiggers or other itches, pour 1/4 cup of bleach into a tub of water. Soak affected area (typically until water temp becomes cool). Then wash in shower.
Corroded car battery: pour Coke over battery. It cleans the corrosion.
Dryer sheets (like Bounce) are great for helping keep gnats away. When we ride horses, we fold a sheet under our belt, in each sock/boot and one under our hat.
Snow covered driveway or sidewalks (not that we see that around here); sprinkle with cat litter rather than rock salt. This will make the surface safe for walking and not damage the concrete as salt can.
Marigolds planted around a garden help prevent nomatodes.
Sprinkle pepper (cayenne is what we use) on bulbs to prevent rabbits and deer from eating them.
Been in the sun too long? Splash vinegar on a sunburn to prevent or minimize peeling.
