first year of yr over tomorrow

This has been our first year on a YR schedule and there is one weird thing. Seems odd that they leave school one day, come back a week later and they are in a whole new grade. No summer to digest how your little one has grown, just right on to the next grade. I am not saying it is bad, it is just different. So third grade here we come. Hope those EOG tests are not as painful as I have heard.

Only issue I see is that the stores around me don't really have their school supplies out yet!!! I live in Fuquay and the Walmart in Fuquay has some out and FV only has 1 year round school. The Walmart in Holly Springs (where there are 2 year round schools) doesn't have ANY out. We ended up going to Target in Apex to find some things since they have begun to get their stuff out, but still have a few more things to get at Wally World.
