fear and anxiety
Published Jun. 22, 20081. Identify the fear. Ask yourself,What are the circumstancs surrounding my feelings ?What triggered ? What message am i telling myself ?
2. Turn to the Lord. Remembe r that God loves you and desires an intimate relatiionship with you. He is in sovereign control of your situation,so bring your fear to him.
3. Rebulk the fear befor God. you have the authority and power in Jesus' name to reject what isn't from hime. Meditate on passages such as Matthew 10:31 and Provers 1:33 Let Gods truth replace any wrong thinking.
4. Cling to your heavenly Father. Take our focus off your cirumstances, and look to the one who promises His help. Scripture gives this assurance:' " Do not fear for i am with you; do not anxiously Iook about you, for I am your God.I will strengthen you, surely I will help you.Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand" ( Isaiah 41:10

I ask this because I work with a non-profit anxiety web site that has been around since 1994 (yes, it's that old), and I can tell you that being Christian has NOT cured any of those folks with debilitating anxiety and panic, though I feel sure that they find comfort in the word of God.
