nhra driver kalitta killed in fiery crash in nj

Scott Kalitta died Saturday when his Funny Car crashed and burst into flames during the final round of qualifying for the Lucas Oil NHRA SuperNationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park.

 

 Please remember his family in this tragedy.

Family, yeah. I do feel for them. The driver? Sorry. But he knew he was daring death every time he got in that machine. It's hard to have any sympathy for him and the way he died.

I do pray that he rest in peace and those who remain who loved him may find peace after his passing.

I have no idea why somebody would risk life and limb on a racetrack, but an accident like this doesn't require understanding. Since I can't undo the damage, I'll just cry for the family and wish it hadn't happened.
