"i'll never forget the time my dad...______"

Okay, I'll go first:
"I'll never forget the time my dad and I raced after my first year running track and I beat him, but he swore I didn't while complaining about a leg cramp."
In honor of Father's Day, let's recount the good, the bad and the funny. And remember, it's all in fun.
My dad died when I was 16, and he and I were just getting close.
RIP, Nathaniel Pryor!
I can't wait to hear your tales.
Angela

I remember Dad making the best snow cream in the world.
He's still living, about a half mile from here, in the house he built when I was eleven. I'll be seeing him tomorrow, thank God.
Bless you, Angela....

He used to let me go to work with him some times when he had to work on the weekend. We would stop at Your House Restaurant on Wilmington Street and I would get a pecan waffle and hot chocolate.
I can't wait to call him and tell him Happy Father's Day tomorrow.

My Mom and Daddy divorced when I was 3 years old...BUT I was always Daddy's Girl and I still am. My Daddy and I would watch Angel games together...he always teases me he bought a baseball team and named them after me. My Daddy and I have a very special and close relationship. We stay in contact by E mails and phone today. So many wonderful memories it is hard to pick just one. Maybe the day he walked me down the isle was his proudest moment. Every minute spent with my Daddy is a special one.
BUT then there was a special Dad...my Step Dad. We had our hard times but many good memories. He taught us how to live off the land...hunting, fishing, camping, many trips that were memorable. Sadly 2 years ago he passed away at the age of 58 years old. He was on cumadin and ate 4 plate fulls of broccoli which he loved and knew he was not suppose to eat because of the Vitamin K. I respected this man!!!
Happy Father's Day To Both!!!

I walked into the walk and it was COLD; climbed into my tube and float to the end of the pier by the sno-cone hut. I was lounging in my tube at the end of the pier like a diva, just looking across the lake and wondering if I could make across. HA! I was already in water that was WELL over my head.
All of a sudden, I hear my dad's voice in my ear saying, "Don't you think you're out a little too far?"
I just knew that he was going to punish me for being out so far, but he took the rope on my tube and let me ride back to shore.
We went in for breakfast and all he ever said about it was, "Don't go out that far again without me." :)
