firefighters make progress in nc wildfire
Published Jun. 14, 2008Firefighters battling a massive wildfire in eastern North Carolina hustled Saturday to take advantage of a shift in the winds near the blaze, which has been burning for almost two weeks and sending smoke into neighboring states.
The fire is still growing. This article makes it sound like progress is being made, only prention is happening. This fire will burn for a long time, it can't be put out with water. The only thing that can be done is protection of life and property. Check out local news at witntv.com for better coverage of this major event.
