For those of you who like going out and seeing local bands, there's a band playing at McKinley's in Clayton tonight that is unreal. They are Sayer-McShane. They're two women who play using various recorded tracks done by themselves in the studio, bass,horns, rythum guitar...ect They use these backing tracks and play with them, sounding like a full band. I saw them last month and was - well impressed is an understatement. The guitarist/singer plays like Hendrix and sings like Joplin ( I'm not kidding) The drummer also sings and plays other intruments in their studio tracks. She's one of the most entertaining drummers I've ever seen. They have a show that is unreal, playing in perfect time, you'd swear you were listening to a full band, not just two people. I plan to go see them again tonight.
