fathers day

Happy Fathers Day to all. I lost my dad to brain cancer in 1979, he was 48 years old. Fathers day has always been a bitter reminder of the loss my family suffered. When I got married in 2000, I became step-dad to two beautiful girls whom I absolutely fell in love with - fathers day had meaning for me again.
Now I'm separated from them and this holiday is once again bittersweet. I miss my dad terribly, even after 29 years. I miss my girls - I know they love me, but it just isn't the same.
If your dad is still with us, treasure and honor him. If you're a dad or step-dad, love your children with all that you are - Life is but a vapor, it's here and then it's gone - please don't ever lose sight of that
