Congratulations to you and he. Great feeling.

That's awesome! Congrats to him! My nephew graduated from 5th grade yesterday (sniff- they grow up WAAAY too fast!) and he was voted class clown. (more tears here- I am so proud- he is SO much like me!)

Congrats!!!!!

Aquamama, Good for you. My girls were the same and graduated in the top 5% of their classes at E. Wake HS, both graduated NCSU, and one now has a job handling multi-million dollar loans and the other works at SAS. Some may find my question insulting, but it's true of so many who graduate. I work at a local college and the # who come in and struggle with reading and grammar skills is truly amazing!

Congrats to your son!

All of the professors at my graduation recently were cheering for each graduate. There were about 300+ of us...it was a grand and glorious time!

Oh, I totally cheered! For his friends, too! Graduation ceremonies are so much better that way. I think it's funny they still tell everyone to "keep it a dignified ceremony." What fun is that?

LOL! Yes, he can read! He kind of taught himself when he was 3/4. He'd spell words to me and ask what it spelled. I'd tell him, and he'd remember. Weird kid. His teachers used to tell me what a great job I was doing with him. I'd say thanks, even thought I didn't do anything. He was a very sufficient self-learner. Until he started high school, that is, hence the happiness that he actually finished!

And to those of you of nontraditional age going to school- kudos to you! I started engineering school at 31. I always felt that adult learners did better because they CHOSE to be there instead of being pressured into it.

congratulations! I hope you were able to cheer for him! (I believe in cheering)

Ahhh...but can he read???
