a better trip out of johnston county
Published Jun. 11, 2008Things certainly moved along more smoothly out of Johnston County this morning!
We saw slow traffic from about 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. on I-40 West near the Bypass, but it cleared quickly and the ride was a smooth one.
One of my DOT contacts says yesterday's delays stemmed mostly from folks learning the new traffic pattern. Another factor: A couple of breakdowns on the side of the road created some onlooker delays.
Which brings me to you. We didn't hear about those breakdowns yesterday morning.
