lets talk about twc
Published May. 22, 2008Recently my tv sets converted to the "new and improved" on screen guide. I am not sure I like it yet, but I will figure it all out and that will be fine. What I am livid about is that since the conversion, on all three of my tvs, I am missing certain channels that I had before the conversion. Now, I am not talking about some cable channel you have to pay for, I am talking Channel 14, the darn TWC news channel, and some others like this. On my one and only HD box, a bunch of my old HD channels do not come in now. When I quizzed TWC about this I was told to "reboot my cable boxes" and all will be fixed. Well, NO this did not work and now, I have to waste time to call back and fuss at some innocent person just doing their job, so they will send someone out to my home who will have to fix this issue. Meanwhile, who knows when someone can come. I cannot just go home from work and wait for them all day long, so that too, is frustrating.
Anyone else notice these problems? Any suggestions for a self fix that do not involve rebooting my boxes again for no reason! ha!

The next month I got a $5 charge for "General Processing Fees" for merely TALKING with a real human - remember, it was not my problem their system would not respond to my attempted CC payment.
Since then I've had at least three rounds with them. Now it is at the stage I get a credit, with some degree of apologies/poor explanations, for the "error"....and then get another "but you TALKED with someone charge!!" the following billing cycle.
I fully anticipate another charge next month for the "call" I made today!
TWC IS a joke!........and they know they more or less have the market cornered.
