okay kiddies , the votes are in ... did you do enough for your favorite idol ?
I think hands down this was the best final two in the history of American Idol. I am happy with whoever wins. I do however think that David Cook will do better without winning tonight.
Mix 101.5 Bill and Sheri's top 5 predictions for tonight ...
David will win...
David will lose...
Simon will wear his best black tee ...
Randy will say dawg 237 times ...
Paula will vote for Kristi Yamaguchi to win ....
spoiler sources say that Cook had a slight lead at midnight with phone and text votes...

Concerning David A's dad, remember that this is a Mormon family and in a Mormon family the father is usually very controlling. I'm glad he was booted from backstage during rehearsals, but part of David A's problem on stage is the fear of what he will receive from his Dad if he does poorly. I bet he will still wear that base ball cap again tonight. Nothing again base ball caps, I wear them sometimes too, but there is a time and place when you need to "look the part", and in the Kodiak Theater when your son is competing for a very big prize, is one of them. I feel for David A. if he is not the winner tonight. His dad will berate his very badly.

I think that archie would be really good as a disney theme song vocalist ... he does have a beautiful voice ... at 17 ... it is amazing!

I voted for Cook until 1:30. The lines were very busy. In the past, when the lines were busy I would just give up after a while, but it was too important last night.
Tonight is the last night to download from itunes. Although I read somewhere that both Davids songs would be available for another week. I'm not taking any chances. Maybe they will add segments from tonights show as well.
David Cook has an independent CD called "Analog Heart". I'm hoping this will be available on itunes after tonight.
BTW I'm not trying to promote itunes, just letting you know the info I found.

I think it was a great show last night. I have to admit that David A simply has a terrific voice. The control he has is incredible. Between the two, as far as vocal talent goes, he is the best, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I still cannot imagine what type of cd he'll put out. What would be his genre? Last night, it dawned on me that he'd do great singing theme tracks for Disney movies. He would be great at it, but I don't think I'll be standing in any lines to buy the cd.
David C is the complete package. I think his voice is great. He has stage presence and charisma. He's very natural and comfortable on stage. I am already looking forward to purchasing his cd (he already has a recording contract).
Between the two, I think David A will win and perhaps should. He's the better vocalist. But David C is the most talented.

David Cook needs to do something similar to Collective soul's alternative style music. I will totally buy whatever they decide to do for David Cook ... but I don't see me buying Archie's.
It seemed as though the show was designed for Archie to win last night ... I mean right down the the song that was written for them. Archie clearly had the better song ... but I think they seriously need to choose the song writters better next season.
