Exciting news- we just talked to Chip! Through a webcam, we saw Chip and Jamling, Chip's sherpa, at Base Camp on the other side of the world! Chip gave us a tour of the camp, and Jamling looked thrilled to meet us (the picture at the right is him!). Both look extremely well, with only minor coughs. Today, Chip and crew are resting at Camp 2. They'll move to Camp 3 tomorrow, and, if the weather permits, move to Camp 4, and between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. they'll leave for the summit, hoping to return by early morning the next day.
