If you are concerned about the rising cost of gas and food, you should find a couple new calculators on WRAL.com useful.
First is our new Fuel Tracker: http://wral.com/traffic/fueltracker/. Look up fuel costs by city name or zip code. We also have a Google map that shows the costs of fuel nationwide. You'll see that while North Carolina has higher prices than many states because of taxes we add, some states are worse, such as West Virginia and New York. The worst, as you would expect, is California.
We also help you keep tabs on which stores have the lowest prices on staples such as bread, milk, butter, bacon and ground beef.

You'll find that Wal-mart consistently beats most of the other big grocery chains.
