I submitted this photo of my new kitten to WRAL, and need YOU, the voters of GOLO, to elect her as 'Pet of the Week!"
A bit of background information about the candidate:
She was found in the back of a truck full of tractor tires, curled up inside one of the rims. I don't know where she came from, probably out of state, and don't know how long she was there without food, water or company. The guys & gals unloading the truck brought her to me. It's a miracle she's alive and wasn't crushed by the tires, or the loading and unloading that went on. Some of those tires weigh 600lbs. She must have lived near the rubber plant, because she was solid gray when they brought her to me, and we all thought that was her natural color. Nope, she is all white underneath, with tabby spots over her back and face. What a cutie, huh? Took two baths the get her MOSTLY clean. .
Our candidate also has super-powers. With her Grizzly Power, she will transform herself into a big grizzly bear, standing on her tiny hind legs and waving her front paws at you to try and frighten you into submitting to her will. Her Tarantula Power is to to climb on the back of the sofa and jump onto the hapless computer user who has their back turned to her, clinging and purring at the same time. She also has Beckham power, which enables her to kick and manipulate any round light-weight object across the floor for 20 minute stretches, easily passing it from right to left paw, before sending it flying into the nearest corner.
She does have a criminal record though. Interstate Flight to Avoid Purr-secution, and Petty Theft - when she stole my heart.
