please don't judge my kids for my faults

Published May. 15, 2008

My 5 year old daughter is very interested in politics and watches just about everything politics on CNN. She knows everyone (including the nobodies)that are running or have ran for this election term. My daughter said that she wants to be a senator or the first black female president.

Since everyone is trying to judge Obama on his family history, I thought I would spill the dirt now before my daughter becomes a politician.

I just want to spill it now, MY FAMILY IS NOT PERFECT!

I had a kid out of wedlock (OMG!). My great grandparents/grandparents left Europe during WWII; yes I do have a Jewish blood line. My father kidnapped a couple kids back in the 80's and sold them to some couple down in California (those couple kids were me and my sister). Me and my husband both hold full time jobs outside of the house (I'm sure that is a political sin...LOL). If anything else comes out, please know that I raise my kids the best I can, and please do not judge them by my faults.

Thank you!

faith - Its wonderful to see her getting such an early start... I do remember when my daughter use to say she wanted to run for congress. She use to hang out with my mother and watch CNN allday/everyday. Since then she has grown up and lost her mind. She attended Word of God Academy and was a great student.. I allowed her to attend public school and she LOST her mind.. All the nuturing and monitoring of her actions that took place at WOG was no longer in place and the freedom proved to much for her. But you seem as if you are doing a wonderful job. Oh and its not where you begin its where you end and it sounds like you are doing a wonderful job. Keep it up we need to see more examples of funtional families. Look I am getting ready to make my daughter read repostion yourself by Jakes.. She too will get it right - eventually. Keep living your life likes its GOLDEN -Jill Scott

the first night we moved our son to a crib...he got on all fours and beat his head against the headboard of the crib...hubby was livid...he couldnt handle it... it was horrible to listen to ...bam bam bam and bad to watch...but i knew ...if i didnt make him stay he would be in our bed forever...he had on a little yellow sleeper with pooh bear on it...it was lets see...24 years ago..i can still hear the banging of his head...

But I am glad I only had one girl...they are sooo high maintenance...LOL

I think it is easier to give birth then it is to kick a toddler out of your bed. My daughter cried for DAYYYYYYYYYYYS after we made her a big girl...LOL...we even tried putting her in the same bed as her big brother so she would not be alone...she is ok now, such a mommy and daddies girl and soooo independent at the same time...the saying is sooo true. "Little girls are filled with sugar and spice and everything nice"

wow i didnt expect an answer to all that....mine slept with me till he was a year old...man its hard to move them out

She's a beautiful child, Faith.

OK Bones, to answer your questions: did you breast feed? YUP SURE DID. if so how long? 2 YEARS WITH HER. did you use real diapers or disposals? DISPOSABLES! i mean you could have really messed the kid up...I KNOW, I KNOW...I THOUGHT IT WAS MY JOB..LOL...did you use a pacify or let her suck her thumb? SHE DIDNT DO EITHER...BUT SHE SLEPT IN THE BED WITH US TILL SHE WAS ALMOST 3, UNTIL THE DAY MY YOUNGEST SON WAS BROUGHT HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL...LOL

Headlong, I will read to her all the blogs...she is such a little brilliant person. We took her to the polls...they gave her a "pretend ballot" so she could vote too...it was great! People were astounded that she knew all the candidates.

"So the next presidental candidate that spent 20 years sitting in on KKK meetings"

If my daughter was in the KKK i wouldnt expect you to vote for her...and I wouldnt vote for an extremist either...I said and quote "please do not judge them by my faults." That means that if I do something in my live, don't hold my daughter responsible....geeesh

OMG say it isn't so *wink* JOKING!!!

BTW you should have your daughter follow the Run To Vote 2008 Teenagers...they will be BLOGGING a daily diary here on GOLO...she can ask questions and many pictures will be placed of each stop along the 48 States Run. It could be her virtual Campaign tour :)
