syrian blogger gets three years in jail

If you think the prisons are full in the US now, consider what would happen if people were jailed here for excercising free speech.

A human rights group says a 24-year-old Syrian blogger has been convicted and sentenced to three years in prison on charges of undermining the prestige of the state and weakening national morale.
Say what you will about how our country is messed up, or how we aren't doing this or shouldn't be doing that and then remember you won't go to jail for three years for doing so.
Sure, we could be doing better. But let's not forget how much we do right.
