By "raised correctly" I take it that you mean the boy has been indoctrinated to believe in something that doesn't exist?
You think God exists? Then prove it, but consider the difference between proof and faith. Faith is used for things that you can't prove, but believing in it somehow makes it exist. Also consider that once you have proof for something, it is no longer considered faith. So if you can prove that God exists, you no longer have faith.
