oil tops 127 - when will congress get off the dime
Published May. 13, 2008So how high do you think gas needs to get before Congress wakes up and realizes we need to go after all of our own resources in every way possible? That guy in Iran is crazy like a fox. Every so often he rattles a cage and helps push up the price. In the meantime we still hear no to drilling in places were we can get more crude. There are lots of other options to be done that would help us, along with trying to come up with viable alternatives. I am writing e-mails frequently to members of congress. I urge you to join in.

I did not mean that the Government should be involved in any retooling. I was thinking more about how long would it take people to decide to make the move. Before I would do anything with my own vehicle I would have to have a level of confidence that whatever the change was, that it would be something that had some shelf life. If I invested say a couple of thousand to modify my vehicle in some way, I would not want to invest it on something that would not give me a reasonable number of service years on the vehicle.
