making friends at the work place!
Published May. 13, 2008I want to know what u all think about making friends at the work place. We had some issues arise where I work and the relationships we had formed where lost. I was advised that making friends at work was not the best thing to do because it can blow up in your face. Is it ok to have close personal friends or just be work friends and leave the personal life out of it?

I think it depends on the individual and the job. I think the work place is a great place to meet people and make friends. But you have to be able to leave work at work, and personal outside of work. I've had friends at work and we try not to discuss work outside the office. Likewise, when we are at work, it's business as usual and not social time.
