Be warned - this makes ~2 gallons of mix.
(No, we're not alkies ...)
3 - 64oz Containers of Campbell's Low Sodium Tomato Juice
4 - 10oz cans of Campbell's Beef Broth
16 Tbls of freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 Tbls of freshly squeezed lime juice
1 bottle of Pickapeppa Sauce
32 Teasp of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
3 Tbls of Tabasco Sauce
4 Teasp of Celery Salt
2 teasp of White Pepper
~2 Tbls of salt (to taste)
~ 4" of fresh horseradish root - finely grated
Mix and allow to sit at least a day in the refridgerator.
Mix with vodka in a 1:4 ratio, chill in a shaker with ice, strain, garnish with a celery stick and enjoy!

You can also, if you don't want to grate horseradish (as I do not ...) peel the root and then place the piece in your blender with some tomato juice. Blend for a while until smooth, and then add back to the rest of the mix. It's much easier.

Hmm ... Hard to say. It's the one nod I make to non-vegetarianism, but it makes a difference. It'd be difficult to say how the vegetable would taste in its place.
Give it a shot anyway. The worst that can happen is that it tastes bad and has to be disposed of.
