Without going into a lot of cut & paste about this ending of TV broadcasting as we know it, and leaping (kicking & fighting) into the digital era, I just thought I'd ask if y'all are ready? For those who have digital tv already or on satelite/cable, I guess it doesn't apply to you either. But for those who recieve their signals off an antenna or may decide to go that route in the future and have an analog tv, go to the link and check it out. Things will change next February and if you wait till then it'll probably be like a Christmas rush.
I picked one of my converters this morning at Walmart. I'd gone to Radioshack but they were sold out and besides their model would end up costing almost twenty more dollars of my money than the Walmart converter, a Maganvox model. The government coupon you'll receive for is for forty dollars off of each of two converter boxes per household, so mine from Walmart ended up costing about nine dollars of my money. At first there was a little confusion at the checkout line on how to process the government "coupon" but it all ended well.
