crazy klepto cats
Published May. 12, 2008So, the Mrs. decided about an hour ago to stitch together a couple of pieces of denim to make a catnip sack for the cats.
Easy, right? Ha! You know, It'd be a simple task... except for the cats.
See, George is so excited about the possibility, he's been up in her face and lap off and on ever since she started. But he's not even the worst.
Lucy keeps hopping up onto the couch where this work is being done... and keeps taking things. Like buttons. And denim patches. She even tried to steal the very needle used for the stitching.
"She's just like a magpie!" the Mrs. exclaims. (We learned a long time ago that if something cat-carryable goes missing, we should look in the cat's play box. We've already found an earring, the back to one of our remote controls, some small pieces of a thing we hung on the wall once, and all of their toys at one point or another.)
Ahh, the joys of kitty cats.

Makes me remember of a cat I had when I was growing up, except she did not steal things, she loved to play with spools of mom's thread used for sewing. We came home one day to find an entire spool of thread had been batted around ever table chair and leg in the dining room!
