mt. everest – the “drama” continues!
Published May. 12, 2008Chip’s birthday was just a few days ago (May 8). Here is a picture of his cake:
Chip is no longer sick and there are no longer technical difficulties happening on Mt. Everest right now! Chip is now headed to camp three. All over Martin Middle School, Mt. Everest is being taught about in so many different ways (Art, Drama, Music, Language Arts and much more). One of the classes is doing a puppetry play that takes place on Mt. Everest. In the play, which was written by our drama students, our principal, Mr. Martin, is kidnapped by a Yeti whose foot has been injured in a Yeti trap. Mr. Martin is taken to the top of Mt. Everest, where the Yeti lives, because the Yeti wants him to show him how to heal his leg. Everyone misunderstands the Yeti’s decision to kidnap Mr. Martin and they think that he is going to hurt him. In the end, the children of Nepal ask a Great Dragon to rescue Mr. Martin and he snow boards down the mountain to safety, even though you can’t really do that.
