more shoreline closed after vandalism

Published May. 11, 2008

Park officials say a lawsuit settlement required them to cut off access to 50 meters of beach after finding vandalism to beach closure signs.

This was either one of two things

1. See pic

2. Tree huggers that didn't get there way to close the whole beach sabatoging the small areas that people still have access to.

Either way, I would love for whoever it was to be caught by a REAL fisherman and shown a thing or two about REAL environmentalism!

Sounds like some dumb-azz teenagers who thought they were being funny.

Let them keep vandalizing the signs. Before long, we'll have managed to get the whole banks declared off limits.

Some people cut off their noses to spite their faces, methinks.

Normally I stay away from debates, but I agree with Ladyblue on this. If you want to see vandalism, you should see parts of this beach after a weekend - and no disrespect to the fishermen, it happens by those who choose to party on the beach - you name it, it's left behind.

2. Tree huggers that didn't get there way to close the whole beach sabatoging the small areas that people still have access to.

I doubt that. It's more like the self centered people around there not papying attention to the rules. They are still mad that part of it was blocked off. Just like they are saying it's hurting the economy right now. The economy is hurting more everywhere not just that location.
