after 0-for-20 on land tax, counties eye local sales tax
Published May. 7, 2008The Orange County Commissioners are reaping what the have sewn over the last 25 years. Keeping businesses out of the county at any cost. We could have high paying, environmentally friendly, community minded businesses right in our backyard. They've worn the CLOSED FOR BUSINESS badge for to long and created a stigma throughout the state that no one should bother trying to invest in our County. What goes around comes around, they've painted themselves into this corner all by themselves. Checkout the revenue balance residential / commercial on the County Economic "Non"development website to get a good perspective and compare it to other Counties statewide.
