tick story

For those that know me, know my life is far from normal. This is just an excerpt from the days of my life.
A person I work with, came from Scotland, never saw or heard of ticks. Apparently his dog (recently adopted rescue dog) had a tick on it so they decided to take it off. As they sat on their new couch they poured some rubbing alcohol on the tick hoping to get rid of it. The tick was very embedded in to the dog’s skin and alcohol did not do a thing. They called me up and asked how to remove the tick, I told him that if you put a cigarette up against the tick, the heat will make it back out.
After a while I went over to see how his adventure with the tick went, I was a little concerned when I saw the fire truck there, pulling up I noticed all sorts of damage. His wife, in very thick Scottish accent curse my whole family and my dogs too . . . so I had to ask what happened here.
So they get the cigarette lit it and put it up to the dog, apparently all the alcohol on the dog lit as well, the dog is now running around the house in a proper manner for a dog that has now been set a fire. They are chasing after it trying to put it out. They get a towel and smother the fire out only to notice the house smoke alarm is going off. They go into the living room and the couch is on fire! He picks it up and throws it through the giant window, so now a couch on fire is in the front yard, followed by the recent rescued dog who now wants the fark out of this looney bin.
After about three days the dog was sited, not hard to miss and was not hurt. The dog did though take a very dis liking to cigarettes.
