The man, while already in jail, breaks and enters to steal a snack cake. That isn't much testimony to his readiness to be on the outside, is it?
A prisoner who runs from the chain gang doesn't even break and enter and steal, just running down through the woods feeling free, yet he will get 5 more years for his jogging alonge in the woods.
A rule's a rule...and every rule is made to be broken. That runs both ways. The cool hand luke model fits here.
I thought this should have been under a heading of called STUPID. I can't bellieve they'd waste all this money and time to punish the man for sharing a snack cake. What is this country coming to.............
