prayer request update

Please be in Prayer for my 82 year old mom. She was life flighted to Duke last night from another hospital after the Doctors discovered a tear in her aorta. The medical terminology for this specific probelm is a type B Aortic Dissection. This was complicated during the night and today by an intestinal blockage. The Doctors at Duke are working hard to reduce the pressure in this area and are trying to avoid surgery on her if at all possible because of her past history of heart trouble. Thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you one and all. Glen
My mom had a setback today and tonight while I was with her. She is in one of the trauma units at Duke. One of the team Doctors ordered additional x-rays, something that has been going on daily now since last Friday. She has been without food since then and just resumed water today but was only able to drink 1/2 of a cup before she was taken off again. Many thanks to all of you who have stopped by with such encouragement, kind thoughts and prayers. They are all greatly appreciated and needed. I will do my best to keep you posted as I can.
