how to bring the price of gas down
Published Apr. 25, 2008We are all tired of the price of gas going up and up and up. My suggestion is that on May 1st, that for 24 hours NOBODY buy any gasoline or diesel fuel. If the major oil companies go 24 hours and sell NO fuel, they will be forced to lower the prices for fear that we(the consumers) will do this on a regular basis.
This will only work IF EVERYBODY participates.

If the major trucking companines would park...... JB Hunt, Shneider, Triple A, Triple C, Convenent, Werner, etc. then the price of fuel would decline because 90% of the commodities would not be delivered - that includes food and dry goods. A consumer would not make a dent - and everyone just like Steve said will go and fill up the next day.
We will not do it as a country because we are all displaced with our own agenda - but if we all got into a food recession - and started having hunger pains....... restaurants could not get delivery and the grocery, alot of these items are time sensitive (produce) then the gov. would have to step in and take some element of control.
