some say dogwood festival is not being fair

"The crowd at a heated Fayetteville City Council meeting spilled out onto the street Monday night as hundreds of people came to speak against a Dogwood Festival policy barring religious and political booths.
Carrie King, executive director of the Dogwood Festival, said the policy prohibiting churches was created eight years ago. But organizers are strictly enforcing it this year after receiving complaints from people offended by churches and political candidates advertising their causes."
Here we go again. Seems ridiculous to me. Though I have no personal interest in religious affiliations, I see no reason why they cannot pass out literature/flyers.
We're going to "PC" ourselves right into the ground. It would seem we are moving from the principles of our "founding fathers" right back into an oppressive dictatorship society.
A "Brave New World" is closer than we think. Careful....Big Brother is watching. (And yes, I intentionally combined Huxley and Orwell. Maybe they were onto something.)
*Sigh*

But hold out a tract with the name Jesus Christ on it so that some passerby can take it and it literally becomes a federal offense.
