Anyone watching The Tudors? If so what are your thoughts on season two? It's better than any book i've read in a long time!

Actually from what I've read Henry was very athletic and fit when he was younger and only got heavy when he was older and got gout in his leg.

NorthCarolinaNative - not anywhere as much need to add drama here as in little house on the prairie. Henry's life was pretty much the ultimate soap opera. There are major historical inaccuracies in how the characters look though, Henry was a heavy red head in real life, and Anne was tan in a time that pale was in fashion. But making them more attractive adds to the appeal.

I've not seen any of season two..but liked season one. Very adult, not even close to being historically accuarte though. I'm really into John Adams on HBO right now.

Bodice Ripper with Kings and wenches and the like. Historically inaccurate as the day is long but DAYUM I cannot go without it...

We have directTV ... I have HBO and Showtime ... the only reason I keep HBO is for the mini series they show .... I was a HUGE deadwood fan (HBO)... and I also watched Rome.(HBO)

Sweet - we just got showtime because we were sick of HBO never showing anything new. We took about 3 nights and watched all of the first season on Showtime on demand. It was so worth it ;)

I guess it's kinda like Little house on the prairie (but with more boobies) it's based on a true story but with lots of drama thrown in to keep people watching. They are supposed to behead one of his wives this season (They aren't married yet on the show) Miss Anne Boyelyn.
