We have begun installing windows. This picture shows the garage w/windows installed. What a job. It's taking longer than I thought, but it's not too bad!
We ordered our windows from Wake Supply (thank you Jimmy Harris). They arrived in about a week from time of order and they are pretty easy to install. This was one of the easiest procedures - from our first conversation about windows to installation. Jimmy has taken care of us and guided us through the steps. Price-wise, they are perhaps a tad higher than buying from a home improvement store, but the customer service MORE than makes up for the price difference. And in all honesty, I think price-wise these were very comparable. They are the low e, ergon gas windows, so they are supposed to lower our electric bill. Since our bill has been averaging $10/month, I'm expecting HUGE savings when we finally move in :-P !!
Our doors will be in soon and we are considering siding. We've been leaning toward hardiplank, but Jimmy showed us some vinyl that we may like. Hopefully we'll be making that decision soon and will place that order.
It's not been just work work work out there. We've taken some time to play as well. If you look at my latest photo gallery (link below), you'll see what we do for fun. We didn't get as dirty as our son and his friends. I don't think we could have if we'd tried. But we all took some time to play.

We sell windows / siding and Low E is the way to go!
