i need advice here....

I have a mole in my yard. At first he wasn't that bad, but now that little booger has over stepped his bounds. I noticed yesterday he is now in my favorite flower bed. I have googled ways to get rid of him, and all I can find is some item you bury and when he starts to walk thru it, it stabs him to death, or repellants that are possibly harmful to other animals, and I have dogs.
Can you please tell me anything that will chase him away?? I hate to kill anything so if I can just make him leave on his own I will feel better. I am starting to feel like the guy from Caddy Shack with that ground hog.

If it is a vole I'm not sure without killing them because they like to eat the roots off your plants.
I have problems with them both{:o(

Dad would always take a piece of wood know as 'lighted' and put in the pest's tunnel. Most people call the wood kindling but it is used for starting a fire and is aged..

a little old lady at Lowes told me that if you tend to have grub worms that you will have a mole problem... get rid of the grubs get rid of the moles.
