“friends only”: a new golo feature

We’ve added a new feature to GOLO that many of you are sure to find interesting.
The new feature was prompted by a combination of various requests we’ve received from you over the last few months and we hope that you’ll find it quite useful.
Everyone knows by now that you can set your profile and other Golo content to private, right?
Well, you now have the ability to set any of your Golo content (your profile, blog, blogpost, or image gallery) to a new setting called “FRIENDS ONLY.” What that does is make it so that the content you select will only be visible by those on your FRIENDS list.
For instance:
If Steve Crisp’s blog is set to “friends only” and Geisha Girl is not on Steve’s Friend’s List, Geisha Girl will *not* be able to read any of Steve’s blogposts, and instead will see a message telling her that Steve’s blog can only be viewed by his friends.
If Steve’s Profile Page is set to “friends only,” and Geisha tries to view Steve’s profile, she will see a message indicating that Steve’s profile can only be seen by his friends. She will also see the “Request Friendship” button which she can select if she wants to be considered a friend.
Please keep in mind though that changing your profile setting will affect all of your GOLO content, including blog, blogposts and image galleries.
That means if you change your profile to private, that setting will trickle down to everything else.
One more thing: Please note that any content set to “friends only” will NOT appear in any of the “most recent” lists, and do keep in mind that this is not an invitation to get naughty.
Our guidelines do still apply, and your “friends” will still have the ability to flag your content for review.
