when great is kind of boring

I think this article is absolutely rediculous. Boring? Dude, YOU are boring.
The problem is that people are so ADHD this day in age they are always looking for the "next big thing". They have no time to celebrate a player's achievements and actually consider successful athletes as being the "best of all time" because they're always on the look-out for the "next big thing". I hear all the time, older generations saying "oh, so and so was the greatest player of all time...". Well, maybe thats because when that player came along, people were all about celebrating his/her achievements and congradulating them on a job well done. Even if you didnt like that team, when you saw the likes of Wilt Chamberlin, you were in awe. The problem with the older generations and generations of people now is that good is NOW not good enough, you always want and expect more more more. I think Tyler is great. I think he is what I feel alot of young people should look up to this day. Someone with great talent who works like a bull to continually improve himself in his talent. If you yawn at that, you have issues accepting when someone is good at their job. He has moved himself up to almost "untouchable" in his ability and stamina, yet remains suprisingly humble and team-oriented in his approach.
Give credit where credit is due. If you don't like celebrating great achievements and witnessing one of the greatest players to ever play take the court night after night and give his team the best of him, go commentate football or baseball... some sport where you play about half the game.
Maybe that will keep you awake.

lady - no one is saying you can't like those players. i just think this barry guy is way off. and, not just bc i am a tarheel fan either. in my opinion, i think calling Tyler "boring" is crazy, or any other player that can put up the numbers he does and still be a seemingly all around good guy and ball player. every night, he gives us something different to look forward to, AND puts up the numbers. there was no true foundation or arguement laid as to the reasons why he is boring. there are just all of these reasons why he is phenomenal.
say what you will, i think the comment was unfounded.
now, right a blog about the "flop" and i'll shut my mouth :)
