peta opposes tribute to fried chicken
Published Feb. 11, 2008Animals rights advocates are squawking at a measure that would make fried chicken Kentucky's official picnic food.
Since I couldn't post in the normal line of things. Here's my sarcasm in Blog form.!
As a Lover of Nature I find that those PETA vegetarian folk are a shame and disgucting disgrace to society for killing and eating a living plant for their own personal enjoyment. They should all be strung out and summarily brought to justice for these heinous crimes against nature. Furthermore. Should one be caught red-handed eating another plant in the future, said PETA person should be forcably fed a real substantive meal; such as a nice thick and juicy Filet with side Baked Potato. Toppings are of choice minus those poor innocent and ever so helpless green onions we all know and love as Chives.

You jest, but I remember hearing about some kooks that actually alleged that corn emits "screams" when the reaping machine is coming toward them during the harvesting process. Never mind that ears of corn don't have vocal cords. So what's next -- we can't eat meat OR vegetables? Are we supposed to just ball up in the fetal position and die?
